End of 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been thinking a lot about the families I’ve had the privilege of photographing this year. Finishing up the year with family portrait sessions always feels especially meaningful—there’s something about this season that naturally invites reflection, closeness, and gratitude.

Family photography isn’t just about smiling for the camera. It’s about preserving a moment in time that will never look exactly the same again. Children grow, parents change, dynamics shift—and yet, in a photograph, those fleeting details are held still. The way a child leans into a parent, the laughter between siblings, the quiet in-between moments that happen when no one is “posing.” These are the moments that matter most to me.

This year, many of my final sessions were centered around families wanting to slow down before the holidays truly took over. Some were annual traditions, others were first-time family portraits, and a few were “let’s do this now before time passes too quickly.” Each session carried its own story, but they all shared a common thread: connection.

What I love most about family portraiture is how real it is. There’s no need for perfection. Kids don’t have to sit still, parents don’t have to have everything together, and life doesn’t need to be curated. The beauty comes from authenticity—hugs that last a second longer, laughter that breaks through, and moments that feel familiar and honest.

As I wrap up the final edits of the year and deliver the last galleries of 2025, I’m incredibly grateful for the trust families place in me. Inviting a photographer into your lives, even for a short time, is personal. It means a lot to be chosen to document these chapters, big or small.

Looking ahead to 2026, I’m excited to continue creating images that feel timeless, emotional, and true. If this year has taught me anything, it’s that family photographs only become more valuable with time. What feels ordinary today will one day be priceless.

Thank you to every family who stepped in front of my camera this year. Your stories are what made 2025 so special.
